reshape_destinyAlan comes from modern-day New York and frequently makes mentions of actual fictional works (like The Shining) in his canon, thus it can be implied that any canon that exists in the real world is something he could potentially have heard about. Post here to let me know if it's okay for Alan to fourth-wall your characters! I doubt he'll know about more obscure canons, but he's likely to know stuff like Star Trek, Batman, etc.
Of course, even if he recognizes them, he might not say anything about it either. I won't have him call anyone out unless you give me express permission to do so.
